Solar energy to become major energy source by 2060?

Far more optimistic for solar energy than previous forecasts.
According to IEA, photovoltaic plants and solar-thermal plants could produce most of the world's electricity demand by 2060, and half of all energy needs.
This is far more optimistic than anticipated in IEA’s previous forecast, according to which the solar energy would represent 21% of the world's power needs by 2050.
